Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. General Principle

Divyartha facilitates devotional and spiritual services including puja bookings, subscription-based recurring pujas, and prasad delivery. These are time-sensitive, collectively performed, and faith-based in nature. Once a puja has been performed — in whole or in part — or a subscription cycle has commenced, the associated service obligation is deemed fulfilled by the platform and no refund entitlement arises.

2. One-Time Puja Bookings

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to hello@divyartha.in with the booking reference number. Verbal or WhatsApp requests will not be accepted.

3. Subscription Plans (Recurring Monthly Pujas)

3.1 No Refund on Charged Cycles

Subscription fees once charged and debited are strictly non-refundable. No pro-rata, partial, or proportional refund will be issued for any portion of a billing cycle that has commenced, regardless of when the cancellation request is made within that cycle.

3.2 How to Cancel a Subscription

To cancel a subscription and prevent future billing, users must email hello@divyartha.in at least 5 business days before the next billing date with subject line “Cancel Subscription — [Booking ID]”.

Cancellation after the billing date has passed will take effect from the following billing cycle. The Company is not responsible for failed cancellations due to user error, incorrect account details, or technical issues on the user's device.

3.3 Subscription Suspension by Platform

The Company reserves the right to suspend, modify, or discontinue any subscription plan at any time. In such cases, a pro-rata account credit toward future bookings may be issued at the Company's sole discretion. No cash refund obligation arises from platform-initiated discontinuation.

4. Platform-Initiated Cancellations / Service Disruptions

If the Company or a Service Provider is unable to fulfill a booked puja due to Force Majeure Events (temple closure, priest unavailability, natural disaster, government order, religious restrictions, etc.), the Company may, at its sole discretion:

• Reschedule the puja to an alternative date acceptable to both parties; OR
• Issue an account credit equal to the amount paid toward a future booking; OR
• Issue a partial monetary refund after deducting non-recoverable temple and logistics costs

The Company's maximum liability in any such case shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for that specific booking. No compensation, damages, or consequential claims will be entertained.

5. Prasad & Physical Deliverables

• No refund will be issued for prasad delivered in acceptable condition where the user is dissatisfied with appearance, size, or packaging
• No refund for delivery delays caused by courier partners, festivals, weather, or other factors beyond the Company's control
• Non-delivery due to incorrect address provided by user, unavailability of recipient, or refusal to accept: no refund
• Damaged prasad: please email a photograph and your order ID to hello@divyartha.in within 48 hours of delivery. Replacement or wallet credit at Company's discretion.

6. Account Credits

Account credits issued as part of our refund process: (a) have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn as money; (b) are valid for 12 months from date of issuance unless otherwise stated; (c) are non-transferable and non-combinable with promotional offers unless explicitly permitted; (d) may be used only toward future bookings on the Platform. To use an account credit, contact hello@divyartha.in with your credit reference number.

7. No Refund — Specific Exclusions

No refund, credit, or compensation will be provided in the following situations:

• Dissatisfaction with spiritual outcomes, blessings, or ritual efficacy
• Non-individualized or batch-nature of puja video content
• User's name not visibly recited or audible in the video
• Technical issues with livestream viewing on the user's device or network
• Change of personal circumstances (illness, travel, change of mind)
• User error in sankalp details (incorrect name, gotra, date)
• Unauthorized subscription purchases claimed after more than 7 days
• Accounts terminated due to violation of Terms of Service

8. Chargeback & Payment Disputes

Initiating an unwarranted chargeback or payment dispute with your bank for services rendered by the Company constitutes a breach of this policy and the Terms of Service. The Company reserves the right to permanently ban accounts involved in fraudulent chargebacks and to recover amounts through appropriate legal means.

9. Refund Processing Timeline

Where a refund is approved at the Company's discretion, monetary refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days of approval. Wallet credits are typically applied within 3 business days. The Company is not responsible for delays caused by banking institutions or payment processors.
